The island’s capital has a beautiful urban beach, Playa del Reducto, with fine golden sand and calm, clean waters. Centrally located, easily accessible and boasting the European ‘Blue Flag’ for good bathing, cleanliness and exceptional facilities, this beach is an ideal family venue. It provides all the necessary services for an enjoyable day out; a great place to soak up the Lanzarote sun and have fun.
An attractive seafront promenade runs along the beach leading to Playa del Cable, 1.25 miles (2 kilometres) further west. This is a more isolated beach and as such does not offer any services. Also the waters are not as calm as those in Playa del Reducto, with the waters getting rougher towards the afternoon as the wind picks up. Bear this in mind and check the sea reports with your hotel reception.
