The affluent coastal village of La Santa sits on the northwest coast of Lanzarote and is all about sports and surf. Here, the waves and swells are strong and attract surfers who are experienced enough to handle them. These guys are exciting to watch and can make for some great photographs.
The village of La Santa itself is a quiet place with a nice promenade that leads to the small harbour where few fishing boats make this a picturesque and genuine place. There is also a number of good restaurants, where you can enjoy a nice meal and about 1.25 miles (2 kilometres) east is the deeper lying peninsula of La Isleta.
La Santa is the place to visit for spectacular views of the coast, browse the village and watch the skilled and experienced surfers whilst you enjoy a wonderful seafood meal!
