Last year was a record breaking year for Lanzarote Airport, with the circulation of six million passengers. This number represents an increase of 10.3% compared to 2013.
According to statistics from AENA (Aeropuertos Españoles y Navegación Aérea), of these six million passengers, 4.2 million have made international flights.
With these figures, the Lanzarote Airport becomes the third busiest of the Canary Islands in 2014.
In total, AENA estimates that in 2014 there was an increase of 6.9% with respect to traffic in the Canary Islands. In total, the airports of the islands received last year about 34.8 million passengers.
